Big brakes for Porsches

January 26th, 2013

Guys, I have tried PB Brakes on my 1999 996 for now the last one year and I would now like to pass on to other members my findings :

I upgraded by front and rear discs and callipers with PB Brakes front 380mm 8 pot, and yes that is 8 pot not a typo error , and 340mm 6 pot on the back , discs are floating drilled slotted and vented with aluminium hubs

Clearly shown here is the stock versus standard and the calliper showing the pads supplied , real quality construction all around and easy bolt on installation , kit is complete including stainless brake lines , the performance of the brakes can only be described as awesome doing 150 km/hour and braking 50 m from bends on BRC no issue , these brakes could stop a train , I would say they can match ceramic performance , race distances no brake fade at all
.

Cost delivered Manila for entire set around 150,000 Peso , PB Brakes are on Facebook and the contact is :  contact@phatboybrakes.com.  The guy’s name is Dan Newton and he runs the company. He is a Brit, but is having these made in Taiwan. They also do Coil over's which I am installing this month to test. See them on Facebook

In my opinion, these brakes leave Brembo in the dust on performance and price .
